Support Strickland

The battle for the Senate hinges on a handful of races. One of the most promising in Colorado, where Dem challenger Tom Strickland is within striking distance of GOP Sen. Wayne Allard. TalkLeft's Jeralyn Merritt attended a Strickland fundraiser last night, and has some words to say about the candidate.

Readers of this site know the importance of the midterm election. Get out and vote. Convince your friends and family to hit the polls as well. If you can spare a dime, donate to candidates in key races (Liberal Oasis has a list of key competitive Democrats and their "donate" pages. It's on the right column, about halfway down the home page.)

It's a testament to the power of the Democratic Party that it can win elections despite massive dollar differentials. The GOP, by virtue of its fat cat constituency will almost always outspend Democrats. However, Democratic Party candidates can't run on empty, so do what you can to help.
