Soldier deaths finally become top story

How can you tell that media coverage is turning decidedly against Bush and his cabal? The death of another soldier and wounding of seven in Iraq are the top story at CNN, MSNBC, (at 6:45 a.m. PST).

CBS: GI Dies as Dangerous Period Begins
CNN: U.S. soldier killed in Iraq
MSNBC: Deadly Summer: U.S. soldier killed in Iraqi ambush
And, drum roll please, even Fox News!
Soldier Killed as Operation 'Ivy Serpent' Continues
Prior to the Yellocake scandal, the steady stream of dead and wounded in Iraq barely merited a mention in our top broadcast outlets. But there is a clear link between the administration's lies and the suffering endured by our men and women in uniform in Iraq.

The press seems to have made the connection, as has the public. Bush may wish the public moved on, but it's hard to do so as the body bags stream home.

(Incidentally, we've had 90 allied deaths since Bush's 'Top Gun' moment on the USS Abraham Lincoln.)
