Latest Zogby poll not good for Bush

While Fox's latest poll gives Bush the all-clear (though not really, his "disapproves" rose 4 points from two weeks ago), the latest Zogby poll paints a more dire picture for Rove.

Job Rating (6/6-10 results in parenthesis)
Excellent: 53 (58)
Fair/Poor: 46 (41)

Re-Elect
Re-Elect Bush: 46 (49)
Someone New: 47 (38)

Favorability
Favorable: 57 (66)
Unfavorable: 42 (33)

Zogby's take:
What has been propping up the President in the past few months is his personal favorability rating. To me, what is most ominous is this alone has slipped 9 points in the past month. If he cannot count on a large majority of Americans to like him personally, this could spell doom for his re-election hopes because he has little support for his overall performance and how he is rated on the issues.
The key number is 49. Once we get two polls with numbers below 50, the media will start referring to Bush as "embattled", hastening his downfall.
