When Bush lies, people die

Three more soldiers were ambushed and killed today.

Three U.S. soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division operating in northern Iraq were killed in a rifle and grenade attack Thursday, a U.S. military spokesman said [...]

It was the second fatal attack on the 101st since the massive raid, which was backed by rocket-firing helicopters and killed Uday and Qusay after they barricaded themselves into a house.

Kind of puts Bush's lies in the proper context, doesn't it?

We thus far have two certified lies in Bush's SOTU address. They total 62 words. We have 282 US and UK deaths in the war.

Pulling out my trusty calculator, that comes to 4.5 deaths per lying word.

Of course, that ratio will narrow as the rest of Bush's lies are fully aired (including the aluminum tubes, the "sanitation" of WMD sites, the mobile WMD labs, the 30,000 WMD munitions, the 25,000 liters of anthrax, 500 tons of sarin, the 38,000 liters of botulinum toxin, etc., etc.).
