Gary Hart back to Senate?

It appears as several prominant Colorado Dems are urging Gary Hart to run for Senate against Campbell in 2004.

I never thought Hart would be a viable prez candidate, with that Monkey Business mess and all. But he's undoubtedly a savvy politician and brilliant mind. The idealist in me wishes Colorado Dems had a deeper bench, but if Hart would make the strongest candidate for the seat, so be it.

There's no doubt Hart would be competitive.

Update: Kevin Thurman, the guy behind the Gary Hart Blog, says Hart won't run.
