VNS abandons effort; SD, MN

MSNBC reports that VNS is pretty much giving efforts to call races because of a "computer glitch". Apparently, they will still provide "guidance" but calls will come much later into the night.

NRO says Johnson is now ahead in SD, Coleman is comfortably ahead in MN (which I'm finding hard to believe), while Allard and Hutchinson are toast (or as NRO states it, "pretty solid losers".

Keep in mind, people, there seem to be lots of problems with the exit polling, and in any case -- they are still POLLS. Errors happen, and in close elections it will take more than exit polling to call winners. People will actually have to count votes.

Funny thing, this thing called "democracy" is.

Update: Apparently VNS will still try to predict winners -- it's the voter questionnaire that has been nixed at least until the software problems can be worked out.
