Friday | December 13, 2002 Kissinger abandons 9-11 probe Well, one less travesty to worry about. Kissinger won't be leading the 9-11 panel. Apparently, the writing was on the wall -- it was either reveal his client list, or abandon the post. For Kissinger, his clients were more important. Still, check out this asinine graf in the story: The decision was another blow for the fledging panel and the families of September 11 victims. The panel's original vice chairman, George Mitchell, resigned from the commission Wednesday, partly because of pressures to quit his law firm."Another blow"? The families weren't thrilled by the Kissinger appointment. This is a victory for the families, and a victory for anyone who wants to find out the truth about 9-11.
