Friday | December 27, 2002 Retailers suffer worst holidays in 30 years Can someone point me to ONE bit of good economic news that has come out of this administration? Jesus. As if Bush and co. hadn't f'd things up enough, we now learn that this has been the worst holiday season for retailers in 30 years. Now that takes some real effort. This is no mild incompetence, or the usual machinations of the business cycle. Hell, this is about making every single possible bad decision. President Bush has managed the worst economic record of any president since the S&P started recording performance 75 years ago. And no matter how you parse things, nothing is getting any better. (That article is about 6 months old, but even more relevant today.) When you start making Herbert Hoover look good (he of the "Great Depression"), you know things are not going so well.
