Tuesday | February 11, 2003 Snow already off message Bush calls it a stimulus package. Ari calls it a stimulus package. The press calls it a stimulus package. The title of this story calls it a stimulus package. But read down on the story, and you see this: Snow said the administration's proposals were aimed at bolstering long-term growth. "This is a growth package, it is not a stimulus package," he said. [Emphasis mine]Whatever Snow wants to call it, the plan is dead, notwithstanding his breathless proclamations that it will "resonate with people". It's amazing Bush continues to push this plan despite every indication it's a loser with the public and DOA in the Senate. Posted February 11, 2003 08:26 PM | Comments (24) |
