Senseless deaths

This one hit close to home:

Long before he ever traveled to the Persian Gulf, Marine Lance Cpl. Jose Gutierrez was acquainted with perilous and uncertain journeys.

Lanky, quiet and full of ambition, Gutierrez, 22, is believed to be the second U.S. serviceman to die in combat, an American soldier with a distinctive Southern California background: He was among thousands of Central American immigrants who for years have made their way to this state in dangerous personal odysseys.

And he's just one of the 39 confirmed US and UK deaths. There are more that haven't yet been "reported", and Baghdad still lies ahead.

This is what has been sowed by Bush, Cheney, the whole Chickenhawk Brigade (led by Perle and Wolfowitz), the media whores and the chickenhawk warbloggers.

There are moments when I can deal okay with the death and destruction of our nation's finest. Now is not one of those moments.
