Tuesday | April 08, 2003 Norm Coleman: another "classy" Republican This is who Minnesotans elected to the Senate: "To be very blunt and God watch over Paul's soul, I am a 99 percent improvement over Paul Wellstone," Coleman, R-Minn., said in a front-page story published in Roll Call. "Just about on every issue." [...]Yeah. Thank God Wellstone's plane crashed. Because without that tragedy, Coleman wouldn't have won his seat. And without that tragedy, and the hatchet job the Mighty Wurlitzer did on Wellstone's memorial service, the GOP may not have won the Senate back. But hey, he "mourns the loss" as well. So it's nice that such a class act represents the great state of Minnesota in the US Senate. Posted April 08, 2003 05:45 AM | Comments (113) |
