Hollings will run for reelection

He may be old, but he's probably the only Democrat capable of winning a Senate seat in South Carolina. Thankfully, he wants to run for reelection.

"I'd like to beat the hell out of the Republicans," Hollings told Gannett News Service. "Right now, I'm scheduled to (run).

Now all he has to do is convince his wife it's the right thing to do.

If Hollings retires, that seat almost assuredly turns Republican, and Democrats have no margin for error.
