Monday | June 09, 2003 ePatriots update Just a quick update: I posted about ePatriots at 10:46 a.m. PST. It is now 4:57 p.m. In that time, you guys have donated the following:
Now think about this: assuming that all the recurring donors stick with the program for at least a year. That means that they have effectively chipped in $17,400. So in other words, the seven hours ePatriots has been up have yielded a one-year take of $20,845. Damn! I didn't see it coming, and neither did the DNC (I'm sure). My original goal was to raise $100,000 over the next 12 months. I think that goal was a little too conservative. I can't WAIT until this gets a full roll-out. The DNC hasn't done any press because 1) no one knew if it would really work (what if 3 people donated? It would've been embarrassing), and 2) it's still officially in beta mode. I hope our early successes will convince the DNC PR apparatus to aggressively hype the effort once it's rolled out throughout the entire blogosphere. Posted June 09, 2003 05:12 PM | Comments (117) |
