Tuesday | June 10, 2003 Garry South hooks up with Lieberman The guy behind California's Gray Davis, and one of the top political strategists in the Democratic Party, has signed on with Lieberman. This is a good catch for Lieberman. It was clear South would run with one of the centrist candidates (he enthusiastically bad-mouthed Dean after his venue-rocking Sacramento speech), but my money was on Graham. Of course, South is also tied up trying to save Davis' hide against the GOP's recall petition (why is it those guys hate Democracy so much?). So whether South takes a more active role in Lieberman's effort remains to be seen. Posted June 10, 2003 03:38 AM | Comments (83) |
