Supreme Court splits on affirmative action

U of Michigan's law school's affirmative action program is upheld, while the undergraduate's points-based system (which, incidentally, also gave points to rural whites and children of alumni) is struck down.

It's early. I'm disappointed, but I have to read the decisions before I comment further.
