Site update

When I appealed for help for a new server, I expected to get a few hundred dollars to offset the price of a barebones server I was eyeing. Instead, you guys have raised about $2,750 from about 60 individuals. So, not only do I get to buy a top-of-the-line server that will serve dKos well for years to come, but there will be enough money left over to cover bandwidth expenses (several hundred a month) for at least a couple of months.

I am overwhelmed by your outpouring of support. And I'll get around to thanking each and every one of you at some point.

I'm ordering the server today and will have it delivered by Monday (darn 4th of July holiday!). I have to get it installed at the Data Center (hopefully that same Monday), and then will have my hacker volunteers do all the proper configurations to prepare it for its hosting duties.

I'll need another day to install MT and transfer all of my files over. So, ETA for end of migration is late next week (I know, that wait sucks). Until then, I'm gonna have to keep comments turned off, lest we collectively bring down the server again. I hate it as much as you do. Without comments, I feel like I'm talking to myself in an empty room. But once the migration is complete, we'll be in good shape moving forward.

I trully do appreciate both your generosity and patience.
