Sen. Feinstein ruled out running for California governor, leaving the Democrats with no high-profile candidate on the ticket in case Davis is ousted.

Loretta Sanchez has made noise about running of Feinstein didn't, and I'll make every effort to join her campaign if she does. If Sanchez doesn't run, then Arianna'll be the one.

Davis is a sinking ship. He may be able to right it, but I'm not about to wager the future of our state on that hope. Davis lost me years ago, and I'm not the only Democrat in that boat. That's why Davis polls so poorly, and that's why I won't cry if he does get the boot.
