Texas has a circus too

Lest anyone forget, Florida and California don't have a monopoly on political circuses. The Texas saga continues, as the "Texas 11" remain holed up in self-imposed exile in Albuquerque as they rack up "fines" imposed arbitrarily by Republicans.

The Dems will file a lawsuit today seeking to invalidate sanctions levvied against their staffs, including the revocation of parking spots (they're blocked off with orange cones), mail service and office supply budgets.

Incidentally, the Dems were re-districted out of parity in both the state house and senate. Thus, the only Dems left all hail from EXTREMELY safe districts. Hence, attempts by the GOP to target these legislators is laughable at best. No one will lose their jobs over this, though the Killer D's actions are reactivating the state's Democratic base. This all bodes well for the future of the Texas Democratic Party.
