Why do Democrats go on Fox News Channel?

I'm watching Gephardt get lectured by Tony Snowe about how great things are going in Iraq, so how can Gephardt call it a "miserable failure"?

Why? Because it's a miserable failure, that's why.

Really, there is absolutely no reason that Democrats should waste their time on Fox News. It is an overt wing of the GOP propaganda machine, and there's nothing they can accomplish beyond getting berated by blowhards like Tony and O'Reilly. What, is Gephardt hoping to get some of Fox's dittoheads to see the light of reason and abandon the Dark Side?

And I'm not picking on Gephardt. He held his own quite well against Snowe and Brit Hume. I'm simply saying Democrats should use their time more productively.

Democrats should be working hard to reach Democrats and Independents. Neither of those two groups hang out at FNC.
