Cubs win; looking good

Great night to be a Cubs fan. We're up 2-1 in the best-of-five series, with a rested Clement going after Ortiz on 3-days rest.

And Florida beat the Giants, leading the series 2-1 with tomorrow's game in Florida. If the Marlins and Cubs both win, the Cubs would have home field advantage against a decidedly weaker team than the potent Giants.

My other favorite team, the A's, are also going strong. Wednesday night's extra inning victory against the Red Sox was perhaps the most exciting game I have ever seen. I was supposed to go but bailed at the last minute. I think I'll regret that decision a long, long time.

Now in case you're wondering, there's no question. I'll root for the Cubs over the A's if they both reach the Fall Classic.
