Monday | October 28, 2002 Survey USA shows SC tossup I've given up trying to guess whether Survey USA polls are worth anything or not. Its track record in the primaries was weak, but perhaps they have finessed their methodology for the generals. We'll know in a week and a day whether we should ever pay attention to Survey USA polls again. That said, the latest Survey USA poll gives Lindsey Graham (R) a narrow 1-point lead over his Democratic opponent, Alex Sanders, 49-48. The last Survey USA poll, conducted one week ago, had given Graham a 9-point lead. The other two SUSA polls in the race both showed statistically tied races. FWIW, every other polling outfit has consistently given Graham a double-digit lead (including Zogby and Mason-Dixon). So, if Sanders wins, the folks at SUSA will look like geniuses and earn my respect. Should be interesting. (Thanks to Greg Greene, who alerted me to the new poll.)
