Saturday | August 23, 2003 Three Brits killed in Ambush Three more Brits were killed in an ambush in Shiite dominated Basra. And to add further fuel to the fire, Kurds and Turkmen are going at it in northern Iraq. So to recap, we're taking heavy fire from Sunnis in central Iraq, the Shiites are targeting Brits in the South, foreign radicals are streaming into the country, terrorists are staging large-scale terrorist bombings, and the Kurds and Turkmen are clashing in Northern Iraq. Let's throw in wide- and large-scale economic sabotage, rampant unemployment, lack of electricity and ... did I miss anything? How about Japan pulling its commitment of 1,000 troops, dealing a further blow to the internationalization of the occupation. And billions and billions spent every month. Lovely.
